If you are designing a web page, its often easy to get carried away with whizzy design features and layouts that look great on your monitor, but often leave others frustrated with a pretty poor experience.
I stumbled across a pretty neat java applet today that lets you try out any site on the net with the Opera’s Opera Mini browser, shown here (click for a larger image)
In that image you can see this site rendered on a phone’s screen. Pretty different huh?! Its certainly something to keep in mind if you are thinking of allowing mobile access to your site.
If you want to check out a site, just append the URL on the end of the query string, for example to view this site you’d use a URL like this: http://www.operamini.com/demo/?url=http%3A//www.mdibb.co.uk
